A Letter to the Feminine

Wild Nights

So I’ve been reading “Wild Nights” by David Deida; it’s about a guy who lives for spiritual truth and love and sex, and living every moment as if in constant sexual intercourse with God. Sounds crazy, and it is.

Oops, I did it again

I let go of the other girl all my friends are sick of hearing me reminisce about.

I feel like I’ve made some enormous sacrifices. I’ve sacrificed the excitement and pleasure of that emotional rollercoaster of half-assed relationships that are all love and no life. That’s two girls I could have blossomed with.

Still Loving David Hawkins

So David Hawkins said, “Your mind will think nasty things about you and kill you rather than admit it’s wrong. It’s not even your friend! And when it runs out of thoughts it’ll just go ‘ippity bippity boo, rappata rappata bop bop bop.’ When the mind gets threatened with no thoughts it really gets wild, it’ll just do anything crazy and bizarre to keep going. So when you look at the mind, then, don’t be bothered with it. It’s just an endless phantasmagoria. I like that word, phantasmagoria. Anyway, it just proliferates endless B.S.”

“She Will Be Loved”

I use a Mac, and instead of regular AIM I use iChat. In iChat there’s a little feature where you can see what song your buddies are listening to at the moment on iTunes.

————

If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that saying goodbye to people you love is hard.

I said goodbye to someone I truly love today. I don’t know if it’s forever; I told her we just have to trust.

While we were having that last conversation, I prayed that she’d find happiness, love, peace, joy, and strength. A few minutes later I was glancing at my iChat buddy list when for one of my friends the song “She Will Be Loved” came up. I think God heard me.

As if that wasn’t enough, I’m watching video lectures of a spiritual teacher and the first thing he said when I un-paused it after saying goodbye to her, was “Every loss is a gain. We feel grief, yes, but… Where there once was something, there is now freedom.”

Some pretty reassuring synchronicities there.

Everything’s going to be okay.

I played guitar to work out some emotion. I recorded it. If you’re interested in about 5 and a half minutes of bluesy crying nonsense, you can listen here:

I Take No Credit

I just wrote another song. It just came to me. I take no credit.

Love and its Benefits Part V

The Love is getting stronger. I did the Throat Chakra Meditation and the Third Eye Chakra Meditation from ideaGasms one right after the other tonight, and I feel like something more opened up. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a deeper, more loving and gentle and loving (that bears repeating) warmth in my eyes. I saw that loving glow that I see in one girl every few months or years, and when I see that glow she’s automatically attractive. Am I automatically attractive? I’m happy to say, that’s not the point.

Love and its Benefits 2

Oh, what do you know, I had another wonderful day.:D

And if you’re thinking, “good for you, asshole,” this isn’t the blog for you. ;)

Nothing particularly exciting happened. It’s just that everything’s awesome. Things work themselves out.

I had to turn in a form to an office yesterday by 4pm, and I didn’t open the envelope until today at 1 in the morning, and I felt stressed for a minute. I hadn’t felt stressed in a long time, so this came as a surprise. So I dropped all stress, surrendered it to God, and stopped worrying. Oh, man. Wonderful. So I got a good night’s sleep and brought it over to that office at a comfortable 1:30, to have the guy who received it say, “Oh no problem, we don’t really enforce those deadlines anyway, it’s just to make sure you understand everything, etc.” Totally cool, no problems whatsoever.

Not to mention the SEVERAL MORE CUTE GIRLS I met today….

Ah, if you ever read this, cute girl I know, you really brighten my day. Thank you so much. You’re wonderful.

Blog Post! #3

I’ve made a bunch of changes. Hey, that’s what one does at 4am with a tingling heart chakra. :) I’ve changed my main picture and the layout of the main page a little bit, and added many books to the panel on the right, including those by Dr. David Hawkins and Osho. Those two were HUGE in my spiritual development. Word to the wise (or up-and-coming): read Osho first, it’s more fun and interesting and “ah-ha!” and great for getting you excited about living an extraordinary life. Hawkins is for when you’re so excited about living this extraordinary life that you’re ready to have all your beliefs shattered and ready to set out on this journey for real. :)

What A Good Day Feels Like

Last night at about 4am I shaved my beard and left a soul patch, then took a shower and washed the hell out of my hair. I felt REALLY good afterward, and I felt like I looked really good. I was glowing. Read the rest of this entry »
